Hello everyone~ It’s me, Dea! I’m collecting some drabbles here that were spooking in my head for a while by now… hope you enjoy them. I tried to unspoil them but if one of the stories contains spoilers, I will warn you before ;)

Disclaimer: I and only I own Essence of Time, it’s storyline and all it’s characters!

This is a short LedahxAryxCallo-fluff that came to my mind during school today. It takes place after Ary, Callo and Yuna found out that Ledah and Ifrit are Gods from the divine World Asgard.

A legend of the moonlight

The moon shone brightly above the lake and it seemed as if the pure clear water was a mirror to reflect its beauty in the silent night. The young summoner slowly dove her hand into the fresh cool liquid and watched as the little waves formed around her fingers, curling the reflected moon to little strips as if someone took a sword and divided the bright round moon into many little pieces.
Ary chuckled at the thought of someone taking a sword and trying to cut the moon apart. She rose from the ground and watched the flickering lights of the stars embraced by the cool fresh water she loved so much. There were only few things she loved as much as water… Her world itself was one of these things… she cared for her world. She cared really much.
“Still awake?” A soft voice made its way to her ears.
“I couldn’t sleep…” She turned, her long bangs seemed to fly around her. A young man stood right behind Ary. His middle-long, pointy blonde hairs shone silver in the light of the moon.
“Want a cup of tea?” Ledah smiled at her politely. Ary giggled and sat back down. She knew he wanted to be polite; he always tried to be polite to her… but that was not what she wanted him to be…
“Say, Ledah… why can’t you just be nice to me?” Ledah blinked at this sudden comment.
“N…nice? I don’t get what you mean, I… I am nice…ain’t I?” He blushed slightly and quickly turned away from the curious young girl. He could feel her glare on him; these emerald-green eyes seemed to bore into his head. “I mean: Didn’t I just offer you a cup of tea??” He tried to chuckle but failed miserably. Ary grinned at him. She grabbed his white cloak and forced him to sit down next to her.
“Hm… I don’t think you are nice to me. I mean: Can’t you just be my friend?” She came closer to his face, her eyes glittering in the moonlight. Ledah felt how his whole face must have turned red by now. The heat in his head made him feel dizzy.
“Wha…what do you—“
“You are polite to me, yes, but you never act as if you really care for me…” She leaned back and the young angel, grateful that she was away from his face again, sighed deeply.
“I care for you!!” His red eyes flickered and Ary could swear she saw a small hint of hurt in Ledah’s  ever so bright eyes. “I… just…”
“Oh great, then it’s okay!” She smiled and lay back on the ground. The soft grass playing around her face she stared back at the shining stars.
Ledah looked at the young girl frustrated ‘I really care for you! You are amazing! I’ve never met someone as unique as you! I’m glad I was able to meet someone as amazing as you are! You love your world so much… you take on this journey even though you still have your life to live, but you don’t want your world to suffer any more!’ These thoughts spun around in his head… but he was unable to say another word… A little frustrated and still red-faced he lay next to her.
“What exactly is it that you like so much on the stars…?” He asked with a curiosity that was unusual even for him.
“The stars? Oh, I don’t like the stars… but I like the moon!” She smiled softly but didn’t continue any further. Ledah grinned.
“And WHY do you like the moon?”
“Haha, you trying to gossip with me?” She grinned and they turned to each other, both laughing. “Well… I guess it is due to a story Callo used to tell me when I was little!”
“And what is it about?” Ledah knew very well what kind of game Ary was trying to play with him, but he was in a good mood and did not intend to be the spoil-spot in her little play.
“Why don’t you ask me instead of her?” A deep voice growled from behind them. Ledah jumped up from the ground with incredible speed that even surprised himself. He faced the dark shadow standing on a tree nearby to them. How long has he been there?! Man, he could be really creepy when he was sneaking around like this…
“Hey Callo!” Ary laughed. Now Ledah knew what her game was all about… she was aware of Callo’s presence from the very beginning… “Want to lie down too and tell us the tale? I love it so much… Pretty please!!” She tried her sweetest smile on him. Ledah could never resist this smile… but Callo certainly had some practice in this. He just turned his head towards the moon and walked towards them, lying down between Ary and Ledah.
‘Now who is the spoil-spot now?’ Ledah mentally chuckled but he knew he had lost… so he was a good looser and placed himself next to the tan elf. “So, what is it about?”
Callo closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the soft breeze picking up his long blonde hair as he tried to remember the old words of his folk’s tale. “Once upon a time, when Midgard was still young and it’s life started to grow in the newborn world, like flowers in springtime. But the life feared the night, it was dark because no one was able to see through the dark embrace of the night around them. The people of Midgard feared the night; helpless, defenseless, lightless. The Great Spirit of Darkness, Nocturne, looked at the frightened people and felt sorrow and sadness for their suffering, but neither was she able to roll the Sun over Midgard, just like the Spirit of Light, Sol, did every day, nor could she ban herself from the world. One night, when the darkness was stronger than ever before, Nocturne decided to come and visit Sol in his holy realm, where he rested from moving the sun for the world. She stole his holy crown and placed it upon the nightsky. The giant jewel in the middle of the crown shone gently over the world and embraced the sleeping being in their soft slumber. Sol sent his lower spirits to watch over the crown, unable to get it back, but at least having guardians next to his precious relict.” Callo opened his eyes and looked aside. Ledah stared into the moon, thoughts far away in a distant land, probably in the land of the Ainu-family, the holy realms of Asgard. “Hmpf…” Callo wanted to turn and look at Ary, but he could suddenly feel a tender arm lying around his chest.
Ary was asleep. Slowly, Callo brushed her bangs out of her face and treasured the image of his closest companion deep within him. The old memories of Ary being a little kid and crying all night long until he finally told her the old tales of the dark elves played in his head like pictures that he had nearly forgotten over the pain and sorrow of this journey.
“Pst, hey, Ledah!” The young Enwa snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the man lying next to him. “If the noble prince wouldn’t mind helping me carrying his princess to her blankets?” It was rare to hear a joke from Callo… Ledah only blushed again and tried to help him up while Ary rested in the tan man’s arms. “And now get back into bed! I will not slow down my pace tomorrow just because you are too tired to hurry up. I will leave you behind, you hear me? Oh wait… better stay awake. One problem less to handle for me…” He grumbled as he carried the sleeping summoner to her blankets.
Ledah couldn’t stop grinning anymore… even though he was always trying to push him around, Ledah liked Callo… for some odd reason he really liked him! Just in that moment Ledah remembered something Ary said to him in the very beginning of their journey: ‘Callo really likes you, Ledah! Otherwise you would be dead by now, that’s for sure!’
He always thought it was just a joke of hers… but now that he thought about it… it made a lot of sense.
He headed back to the camp and lied down next to his brother Ifrit. He could see Callo in the soft moonlight as he placed Ary in her sleeping-place, right next to his own blankets.
“Pst, Callo!” The dark elf turned. “You better get some sleep too! I won’t slow down either and when I fly high above you, you won’t be able to trace me” He lolled his tongue out playfully. Callo only chuckled and rumbled the blonde boy’s hairs.
“As if you were able to out-fly me…” He grinned and even against his habits, he lay down next to Ledah and fell into deep slumber.
Ledah smiled to the moon. He could feel his companions’ soft breaths next to him. “Guard well over your masters crown…” He whispered into the dark before he finally fell asleep – embraced by the soft light of the mighty moon above their heads.

For the next one I made a sketch… I will upload it soon enough and put a link to this! xD You will see ^^

Like a birdin!

“Watch out!” Ledah shouted towards Ifrit as one of the little bird-monsters attacked his older brother. Ifrit already tipped, as he always seemed to do in such situations and managed to dodge the angry monster this way.
“I call upon the dark servants! Shade!!” Callo summoned the small, black spirit and rushed towards the little …things… that attacked them. They were round and fluffy, like little balls of pure fluff, but their razor-like beaks were effective weapons. They weren’t deadly, but the bruises hurt nonetheless!  Little white wings came out of their sides and they somehow managed to flap them fast enough to fly.
Shade’s shadow-skills killed another birdin- that’s what these little monsters were called- and the rest of the swarm, startled by the brutality of the attack, escaped back into the trees.
Ary sighed relieved…  She didn’t like fighting these ‘fluff-balls’ as she always called them… even when she was little she hated them, they used to attack her back in Wehrheim-forest when she went out to play a little. “Stupid things…” She closed her eyes and concentrated. “Holy daughter of the wells, bring down your pure water from the the first of the springs…”
“Those… “birds”… manage to stand against all physical laws I know… How do they manage to fly!? Their wings are so slow… flapping up and down, up and down, and up and-“
“We got it, Yuna….” Ledah rubbed his temples and helped Ifrit up… He grinned at his brother… even though Ifrit managed to fall on the ground every time he tried to dodge the bridins, he was the one of the group that had least bruises from the little “fight”. “Those things are a real pain… Ouch!” His arms were buried in bruises and cuts from the sharp beaks. It has not been a real … it has been a ‘whirling around with weapons and hoping to hit’-fight…
“…maiden of ice… Heal!” Ary finished her chanting and Frosta appeared in front of them, casting soft warm water over their injured bodies.
The water felt so good… Ledah leaned back against a tree and waited until the bruises were all closed by the sacred liquid.
“Who else needs a break?” Yuna chirped, sitting down on the ground making more than clear that she was not going to move any further for the next few hours!
“Guess it is time for a break then!” Ifrit smiled and made himself comfortable right next to the Half-demoness.
‘They look so sweet together…’ Ary chuckeled and sat next to her friends. Soon, Ledah joined them and after Ledah sat… Callo’s protesting stance was worthless… they wouldn’t move anymore… even if he carried them to the next Spirit-temple himself… So he sat next to Ary but still a little away from the group. He wasn’t the kind of person that liked those gossip-rounds the others used to have with each other when they made a break… but for him it was okay. Anyone needed some good time every once in a while, and the dangers of the journey kept drowning on all party-members, physically and psychically, and even though Ary’s and his water-magic could heal most of the physical wounds, they weren’t able to just summon away the psychical wounds… Callo chuckled silently. How much this remembered him of his first journey along with Allen and his other friends… Raven, their healer, has kept telling him about how important gossiping was for an adventurer-group.  Why didn’t he join in anyway…? He wondered to himself… He could just try it out and take part in the “kids” childish game, even though two of the “kids” were half demonic and one was five times older than himself!
“May I join in chit-chat?” Callo’s deep voice cut through the air like the rapiers he used to fight with. Everyone fell silent and looked at the tan elf in shock.
“O…of course you can!” Ary tried to smile and hide her surprise behind a mask of good mood. “We were just talking about which monster resembles whom most!” She giggled and looked back into the group. “Ifrit is a Pogy! They are really clumsy and have the same freckles!”
Ifrit laughed and looked at Ledah. “Ledah is a…. oh I know! He is a Phoenix! They have red bruning wings too and his eyes look just like those of a bird!!” He grinned proud at himself to find a matching animal for his beloved little brother.
Blushing Ledah tried to think of something for Yuna… “Hm… how about… a crow? Not only because of her black hairs and dark cloths, but because you have this money-mode!” He chuckled and blocked the stone the young demon-girl threw at him. He hopped up and ran away from a pretty angry Yuna.
The others watched them and laughed at the little fight. Callo smiled warmly. Why didn’t he join in that chit-chat more often? Of course it was childish… but it was fun after all!
*smack*
Yuna came back to the group satisfied and looked at Ary, grinning from one ear to the other. Ledah joined the group again as well, rubbing his aching head.
“So, Ary, now to you. You are a Rodatiger-elder!” Everyone glared at Yuna for this, remembering Ary’s Rodatiger-hunting whenever one of them dared attacking her village.
“You… serious, Yuna?” Ary laughed at the “elder”-word.
“Yes I am! Look at your bangs. And the older a Rodatiger becomes the browner and spikier becomes his fur! And most of them have green eyes, just like you.” She smiled warmly at her friend. She meant it just as she said it and Ary knew it was not meant to be an insult at all! Yuna never tried to tease her.
“Okay, got you, Yuyu!” She smiled at using the old name she used to give her friend when they were little and she wanted to annoy her for fun.
“Oh shut it Ary!!” She smiled and looked at Callo. “One person left, Ary. Your turn!”
The brown haired girl looked at her oldest companion… “I think he looks like…” She blushed as she noticed… she couldn’t think of anything that resembled Callo… “He looks like…” Her head grew hotter and hotter and she felt her cheeks growing more and more crimson.
A little hurt Callo lowered his ears for a few seconds but as he noticed they were down he put them back into their usual state. Suddenly Ary sprung up.
“That’s it!! Callo looks like a birdin!!” She grinned satisfied… and anyone stared at her in shock.
“A… a…”
“..birdin!?” Ledah completed the sentence for Callo and glared at the tan elf in disbelief.
“Look!” Ary knelt behind Callo slowly diving her hands into Callo’s long blonde hairs until she ended at his ears. Callo blushed so much it was clearly visible even with his dark skin.
“A..Ary, what are you doing!?” He stuttered as suddenly…
*flap*
Ary took his ears in both hands moving them up and down.
*flap* *flap* *flap* *flap*
“Look, his ears are flapping!” She smiled and continued. Callo’s head grew hotter and hotter, not sure if it was because of Ary rustling through his hairs and touching his ears so softly or because of the raucous laughter of the rest of the team. Ledah was laughing so badly he laid on the ground holding his belly, Yuna bite into Ifrit’s mantle to prevent herself from bursting out, Ifrit just kept laughing, though Yuna wasn’t sure if it really was because of Callo or just because the others were laughing. Even Ary couldn’t hide her amusement anymore and started laughing.
*growl*
Callo looked at the others, ready to rip some heads off… but he remembered something a ceratin demon-prince once told him: ‘As long as they laugh about you it keeps them far away from their bad thoughts’ So he started chuckling too, together with all his friends; but it was the last time for a loooong long while that he joined in their little gossips.

And here’s the last one. It is a thiny mini miiini lil spoilerish concerning Ledah’s reasons to take on Ariias quest, but I don’t think it is much of a deal with the storyline…Takes place right before Ledah and Ifrit come down to Midgard.

Midgardians and other halfbreeds

“Midgard!? The Middle-world!? You can’t be serious!!” Noticing his disrespect, Ledah lowered his head again. “I apologize, Master Ariia; this comment was out of my priority! Please forget I said this…” He closed his eyes and suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder.
“It’s okay… Please stop calling me “Master” already! Just Ariia is fine! You are grown up now!” The little goddess looked at her former student and flapped with her scythe-like ears. “Midgard is a dangerous place, I know… but out of all people, shouldn’t YOU be interested in this world? It is the place Narwa met your father…” Her eyes seemed distant for a short moment as she remembered her good old friend…
“To be honest I don’t want to know at all!” Ariia snapped out of her thoughts as Ledah replied seriously. “My father was a demon, a shame for all Asgard! I don’t know what was wrong with my mother that she actually fell in love with a pathetic being like that!!” He clinched his fists in anger. “Why should the Gods be interested in a world like Midgard anyway?! I admit, the Midgardians are only half as pathetic as demons are, but still… pathetic being is pathetic being!”
Ariia closed her eyes at this as if she wanted to close her heart from these words… She was one of the only gods of Asgards that respected the life on Midgard and Utgard; but Ledah had to grow to hate demons to prevent the guardians of Asgard from killing him for treason… after all he still was a half-blood… an Enwa…
“The Great Spirits can heal you…” Her voice trembled at these words… “You…you can eliminate your demonic blood by collecting their might and replacing it with holy power… is this reason enough for you to go to Midgard and safe it from withering away?” She trembled at her own words, her thiny fragile stature made her seem even weaker, but Ledah didn’t notice it… he only heard what he always wished for: Becoming a true God and a worthy heir of the name Ainu.
“I will do it!” He stood up, his heart beating against his chest so hardly that it even hurt him.
Ariia sighed… at least she achieved her goal… “But I really have to wonder why you don’t like Midgaridans… “
Ledah turned at that sentence and looked at the tiny goddess in surprise. “Wh…at?”
“If you put it this way: Gods are good, demons are pathetic and Midgardians are half as pathetic as demons… You are half god half demon,: Shouldn’t you come along with Midgardians quiet well?”
Ledah closed his eyes and started to chuckle. “You are right Ariia… I will think about Midgardians more like I do of myself… that is the only right thing I can do!” He smiled at her and went outside, picking up his older brother and preparing for a long journey.
“Hm… you are the wisest student I ever had…” Ariia smiled weakly and turned back into her crystal realm.
